Stayed here 21/10 - 22/10 2025. A slightly simpler hotel. The hotel is perfect for a 1 - 2 night stay or for those who can imagine something a little simpler standard for a week. Pros: 24/7 reception. 350 meters to the beach. Clean and fresh. Breakfast. Cons: 20 minutes by car to central Athens. 40 minutes to the airport. Small elevator. Parking costs € 15 per day. No pool. Small rooms (single standard room). 4 bed hardness (see below*) 5 value for money (see below**) *(Sinks through 0 - Average 5 - lies on top of the mattress 10) **(Throws money down the drain 0 - Break Even 5 - Highest profit 10).
Close to the beaches and great access to public transport towards Athens city centre. The restaurants in the area are also a lot more value for money than in the city centre. Breakfast and rooms are simple but decent. Rooms are clean and reception staff goes the extra mile to advise about the ins and outs of the city
This year, there are no significant changes in the hotel compared to previous years. The only receptionist I mentioned for her unprofessional behavior (Eleana) is no longer working and Maria is working instead. The entire team at the reception (Alexandra, Elena, Maria and the night receptionist) is more than professional and considerate. Slippers are no longer available in the hotel rooms (although I received them upon request). The breakfast is decent, there is enough of it, although there are slightly fewer options than a few years ago. I believe that with the passage of time, new options should be offered, instead of being reduced. There is usually no fruit before 10:30. The new lady who works in the restaurant seems polite, motivated and in a pleasant mood, unlike her male colleague who traditionally seems grumpy, I don't think he even speaks English. I think there is a lack of music on the ground floor and in the elevator. If the funds for a substantial renovation are lacking, the bar sign at the hotel entrance could be replaced. It is unacceptable to have a laundry cart used by the maids in the hallway on the first floor, next to the sofa intended for guests. The maids are hardworking and the hotel is very clean. They still give the impression of being incredibly ill-mannered and inconsiderate - they shout every day from early in the morning, talk loudly to each other and on the phone and bang on doors uncontrollably (two with blonde hair, I'm not sure about the others). I think that such behavior would be unacceptable even in one's own house. After staying in this hotel, I extended my stay in another and there, as in any other, the maids are silent. Until last summer, I received a significant discount from Mr. Papadeas as a regular guest. At the beginning of September, I sent a request to come again, but I was surprised by the offer of Mrs. Despoina There was almost no discount, so I didn't want to come because I considered it inadequate, unprofessional and ethically questionable for someone who has been to the hotel so many times. I remember that the room I requested last September remained empty during those days. This time I got a nice price from Mrs. Despoina. The air conditioning in the hotel is excellent. The WI-FI connection was finally corrected and the signal is now excellent. I believe that the objective rating for the hotel is 4, but I will give this oasis in the most beautiful part of South Athens a 5. The only thing I miss in this hotel is a swimming-pool
My daughter and I stayed here with a tour group and enjoyed it. My room was spotless, very comfortable, and cozy. We had breakfast at the hotel, and everything was good. The staff was very professional and sweet. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood blocks from the main road. The neighborhood is peaceful, and it feels safe. My friend and I walked to a convenience store on the main road at night to get a snack, and we both felt very safe. I would stay here again if I were visiting Athens
Just came from our unforgettable trip to Greece. Blue Sea Hotel Alimos was our home for 8 days. Hotel is located in green, quiet and cozy (dream for retirement) residential area. It close to lovely beaches (recommend 15 euro if you stay for entire day or free beach for quick swim) and major public transportation routes (30-35 min-s to ferries by street car and 30-40 min-s to city center by busses). It’s true that the hotel is not new and some pieces of the floor and furniture have seen a better times but hotel is never the less absolutely comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Elena and other lady at reception desk are super friendly, extremely helpful and wealth of useful information. Also many thanks to other team members of the hotel staff (clearing ladies, bar/restaurant attendants, maintenance guys) that keep the hotel clean and tidy. Your hard work was not unnoticed. The breakfast was pretty decent (for money spent) providing variety of food, some vegetables and fruits, more than enough for breakfast. If we ever come back to Greece again Blue Sea hotel will be definitely, no doubt our place to stay. Giving my 5 mark is the smallest thing that I can do for you guys. Thank you.
